Chulha Chowka da Dhaba, a perfect place to experience dhaba style food and ambiance together under one roof. When you enter this place, you would feel the dhaba atmosphere around you, with Jute made stools and wooden tables, Khatiya (rope cot) arranged as outdoor seating and a pan bhandar. Even the music will make you feel nostalgic about the dhaba visit on a Delhi Haryana Highway that you would have had or longed to.

This place is easy to locate as it is right there on the main road opposite to Shoba Mart. I had my Saturday lunch with some of my friends over there.

Service is good and the food is worth trying. We decided to sit on the Khatiya to enjoy our meal total dhaba style (Oye lassi le aa malai maar ke!).

Appetizer: Masala Papad was well dressed in tomato and onion and the papad was crispy too.
Mushroom Pepper Dry was perfect, well marinated and spicy. I loved it. I recommend it as a must try.
Egg Chili was good and I loved it.
Malai Paneer Tikka was yummy. The paneer was perfectly cooked, and well marinated with the cream. It goes well with the chutney.

Drinks – ButterMilk was quite refreshing.
Lassi (Sweet) (What’s a dhaba without lassi?), order it in an earthen glass (Kulhad) as it tastes great and lassi is thick and mouthful so it was very fulfilling in itself.

Main Course: Dal Makhni was good, a bit improvement needed though will make it awesome.
Paneer Butter Masala was nice. I loved how they used very juicy and light paneer. The paneer was well cooked and gravy was the perfect blend.
Garlic Naan was soft and easy to tear. Loved it

Dessert: Gulab Jamun was good, yummy and soft.

Finally, we ended our lunch with a meetha Pan which looked great. Now if you visit, do have a pan for an overall experience.

The overall experience was wonderful and I loved it.
