Pizza and Beer, one of the best combinations to try on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends. We discovered this amazing place located on the twelfth main road, just opposite Burma Burma. ‘The Pizza Bakery’ as the name suggests is an Italian restaurant serving handmade pizza. They also serve craft beer on tap – St. Martin and Geist.
Ambiance – This place is stretched with two seating area; the indoor seating is a decent place to sit, but the root top one is the best to choose. You are welcomed by a wall painting of drunk Mona Lisa, and the setting is so good. You will enjoy the rooftop view.
Drinks – I started with two beers. Uncle Dunkel, the stout with cocoa, caramel, and coffee which was amazing. I loved it.
I also tried Abbey Dark; malt beer with a mix of caramel and licorice aromas. I loved it too.
Virgin Mojito was the basic drink which is always refreshing and so it was.
Starters – Stuffed Garlic Bread Classic, the sourdough bread stuffed with caramelized onion and mozzarella. It was good.
Chunky Jalapenos cheese poppers; I loved the taste. They use cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella and that tasted good too.
Grilled Cheesy Mushroom was a good one too.
Pizza: The pizzas served here are hand tossed and made of sourdough bread, which is rare to get in Bangalore.
I tried Popo’s Veggie Delight; I loved the sun-dried tomatoes, feta, and olives. I felt the crust was over burnt at the end. Rest was good.
4 cheese rocket + Burrata; I loved the Burrata, it was soft and light. I enjoyed the combination of Mozzarella, Parmesan, feta, and bocconcini cheese. It is a recommendation for Cheese lovers.
Pasta: Spaghetti Aglio Olio Peperoncino was perfect, spicy and I loved it.I recommend it.
Dessert: Tiramisu was the best tiramisu I ever tried. I loved the soft dessert served with one of the best Coffee Ice cream. A recommended item.
German Upside Down apple cake was good too. I loved it.
Overall, I loved the place. I enjoyed the best combination of Pizza and beer. I would say Kudos to the chef for making such amazing desserts and pizza for us.
