Price of Losing

Every step I want on the sand
I just remembered every pain I made on my hand.
Like all the wars that were fought in my heart,
It was also a conflict that weakened the part.

It was the last list I had to make for you.
It was the last letter I had written for you.
It was the final goodbye I wanted to say,
Before I vanished in the thin air.

I dreamt the nightmares of losing you.
My heart giving up after not choosing you.
What was my heart beating for? This question,
Killed me because it was my decision.

It meant something when I saw you on the street.
I had to walk away from you on my numb feet.
I never wanted you to see me again,
But when our eyes met I felt that pain.

I decided to live an introvert life.
Away from all the crowd away from the strife.
I walked out of everything nice.
I knew I couldn’t afford the losing price.
